Maine Humanities Council has organized a series called Think & Drink. It’s basically a mashup of a happy hour, civic forum, and participatory panel discussion. The series takes place the third Wednesday of each month at SPACE Gallery. It started in February and will end in May.
The theme of the series this year is Disruption. Last month’s talk, Disruption of Whiteness, drew a huge crowd and made room for a great conversation. This month (this Wednesday!) we tackle authority, and will be accompanied by panelists:
- Benjamin Campo, Jr. Attorney, Douglas, McDaniel, Campo, & Schools
- Sarah Schindler Associate Professor, Maine School of Law
- Jon Gaither Public Education Coordinator, ACLU Maine
The event is casual, social, and generously sponsored by Rising Tide Brewing, but even if you’re a non-drinker (as I am), you will likely have a great time.
